http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3316/3615069138_65240c4839.jpg?v=0 [pictureright.jpg :right Today has been much more relaxing for me (I'd say for Khawar too but she's had to continue with ongoing planning and giving up her house for the afternoon activity). We started by reviewing yesterday and then invited the group to work in pairs to plan and create a real learning activity. Following this they were asked to show us all their outputs.
There were some really good ideas and some really good outputs. I was quite impressed by the combination activities each pair attempted. Some worked between PPT and Word to create learning + formative assessment activities; others developed activites that employed many of the techniques just learned and two pairs used online services (1 x NING and 1 x Blog) to present learning activites. Brilliant.
The group have been grealy engaged throughout and it has been a pleasure to lead them.
This afternoon they were split into four smaller groups (starters, mains, pudding and drinks), given money and sent into Leeds and Wetherby to shop for the food THEY were going to cook tonight (at Khawar's house). Each group succeeded in one way or another and we've just finished a real feast. Thank you all.
